<p>as i’ve said in my previous posts, applying ED at tufts is huge, more than at most very competitive schools. 37% of those applying in the ed round are accepted vs. 25% in the regular round. that’s because tufts fills 42% of its class with ed kids.</p>
<p>imho if you’re looking to get admitted in the RD round you better have great everything: sats, sat2s, gpa, class rank, demanding classes, super ecs. </p>
<p>however in the ED round tufts appears to be a bit more forgiving. tufts wants kids who want them and may accept slightly less spectacular sats/ecs/class rank and so on to get a kid who is wildly enthusiastic about attending tufts.</p>
