<p>Someone told me that EDII is used primarily by athletes who first try ED at a DI college but do not make it. Next they try EDII at a DIII college. Any truth to that? </p>

<p>In other words, is EDII a waste of time and commitment for an applicant who is not a recruited athlete, but is applying to the second choice school.</p>

<p>This sounds like an over-generalization. It certainly wasn’t true for my S, who was not an athlete and got into his second choice school EDII after being turned down for his first choice EDI.</p>
