Edinburgh Entry Requirements

Hello, American student here.
I have been thinking of applying to the University of Edinburgh (specifically to their History or History and Politics programs), and, while I can find general application requirements, I can’t find the application requirements for any of the specific departments. Can anyone tell me where to find them, or if I would have a decent chance for the History program?
My qualifications are:
SAT I: 2230 (790CR/660M/780W)
SAT II: 730 Biology, 790 US History, 800 Literature, 640 Chemistry (I know, I know, I will retake it and probably won’t send it out anyway)
AP: Don’t know, but feeling pretty good about the US History exam (should know my score soon). Next year I’m taking European History, Statistics, Psychology, and Literature.

During a recent conference call with an admissions officer she mentioned that Americans only need to fulfil international qualifications. No specific course requirements apply. I was suprised to hear that.

Oh, really. Sweet! Thanks.

Be careful with that: some courses do have specific requirements. I think the admissions person meant no separate requirements for being American. If you apply for Econ, for example, you must have AP Calc. If you look in the degree finder, you will see the ‘Minimum Entry Requirements’ If a subject is listed there under SQA or A-levels you will need it also.

You are good for history, though- no particular requirements. I was adding this in case people read this who might be applying for other subjects.

“i think the admissions person meant no separate requirements for being American”

No, the question was about subject tests/AP requirements for an American student applying for Cognitive Science and the answer was directly to this question. I imagine fulfilling american requirements is just a bare minimum for consideration. Of course one would want relevant subject tests to be included. Those could be found in A-level requirements.

Thanks for the clarification, @jupiter98 - no specific course requirements apply for cognitive science (or history).

Thanks to everyone who answered!

you will more than likely be accepted based on those results that you already have, not even counting the APs from your senior year
