Education Summer Programs in Quebec or France?

I’m a high school junior this year and I’m thinking about going to either Quebec City, Montreal, CA or somewhere in France for about a month. I’m really not interested in traveling and touring Quebec (I’m been there loads of times) or France (have extended family living there). I’m looking for a program that will preferably let me stay with a host family, since my brother did this in Spain last year and LOVED it.

So I’m looking for something very educational, preferably a program that will enable me to go to some school or learn during the day and relax a bit in the evening. I would really appreciate anyone’s suggestions, and etc! Thank you all so much in advance, CC really is a truly wonderful board. (:

PS: I haven’t taken AP French yet (plan on taking it as a senior) so that’s my primary reason on why I want to go to Quebec or France. NOT for my transcript or anything, but I’m going to live in Quebec or France someday soo … might as well get to know it better!

My daughter went to Bishops College School in Quebec last summer. She like it.

thank you for your response, brysia. did your daughter think it was worth it and did she come back with much more knowledge of the french language?

She had fun, made a lot of friends and got to travel around Quebec on weekends and on Wednesdays. It was not a total immersion because 1/2 of the camp is French and 1/2 is English. I don’t think she tried very hard - she made friends with other Americans and they spend a lot of time together.
