eeeeeeek!

So here’s the deal. I looked at my college list the other day and found that my schools are at the extremes of difficult-to-get-into and safeties. So far, I’m applying to UTD, Austin College, UT, Rice, Georgetown, Harvard, and Columbia. It’s a pretty hefty list and I don’t want to have to choose between Austin College and UT/UTD in the end. So, any good suggestions for near-safeties, nice matches, low reaches? Can i get into this university? I’m planning to study international relations.

SAT: 2170ish…i have to double check but it’s in that ballpark

I wouldn’t count on WashU as being easier to get in to–It’s ranked 6th most selective college in princeton review. I would think Vanderbilt and Emory could be added as match schools and WashU a reach(it’s a reach for everyone). Vandy and Emory have around 30% acceptance rates. WashU is around 19%.

I think you have a chance at Wash U, but then again, who really knows these days? As scmember said, Emory would be a good school to add - Has a great reputation, and NY Times named them as a new “safety” for the top schools (mentioning that it switched selectivity rankings with Wash U after a number of years).

you do SO much (I’m not being sarcastic) I have absolutely no idea how you fit all of that into every single week. more power to ya
