I think it’s $6,920 when you transfer it into numbers.

It is too high for federal grants. So it will depend on if your school has institutional grants, and if you are eligible for any State grants (that will depend on the State, in our State your EFC has to be <1300 for the $1000 state grant).

What schools are you applying to?

I think that is a difficult number. Ours is around 8,000 and I don’t like that either. It is too high for federal and state grants, yet it is low enough that it makes it admission to non need-blind private schools more competitive.

We are, however, prepared to pay about twice that much per year and we did put that on the PROFILE form, so hopefully the schools will take that into consideration.

That is a very difficult number. You are not entitled to much in the way of grants, if any. It would depend on the school and what they have available. Hopefully, you have included a financial safety school on your list, one that you can attend as a commuter with low in state tuition.
