Well my mom and dad divorced almost 10 years ago. My dad and stepmom pull in about 120k but technically I am the legal dependant of my mom who makes under 30k. I live with both switching weekly, so I am wondering if I only report my mom’s finances(current junior so fafsa next year). I hope so lol.

I am in your almost your EXACT situation.

Just plan on the Ivies on requesting tax forms from your dad.

And that ruins my financial aid.

But I’m going to try and appeal, and see how that goes.

For FAFSA you have to report the income of the parent (and their spouse) you live with the most. So if that is your Mom you will have to report the information for both you Mom & Stepdad.

If you are going to a school that requires profile you will probably have to supply your Dads information also.
