I have an efc of 06888 what does that mean?

Depends on the schools you get in, but it’s nice IF your admitted to schools that guarantee to meet need without loans. (Not that many). Nice means you would “only” have to come up with 7K/year.

For federal aid it means your EFC is too high for federal grant aid (the cut off for the main federal grant, the Pell, is 4617). Depending on the cost of the school you will be eligible for $5500 in Stafford loans of which up to $3500 may be subsidized, depending on need. You may be eligible for WS depending on the school’s policies.

For institutional aid it depends on the school’s aid policies and whether they offer any institutional aid.

What is “WS”?
