EFC - School question

Hi, I filled my fafsa out and got a 1920 EFC. Originally I had Wayne State on my application, and then I figured when I later changed it to Macomb C.C. my EFC would decrease because it’s a much cheaper school. Does this mean that if I were to transfer after my first year at Macomb C.C. to a University and stay on-campus, that my EFC would remain the same? Does EFC include living costs as well as tuition?

EFC has nothing to do with the cost of the school. It is what the government uses to determine Pell (and other) grant eligibility and for stafford and perkins loans. It is not a guarantee that you will only have to pay that amount.
