<p>Total family EFC for several kids in college at the same time will likely be similar to the EFC for that family with a single student in college.</p>
<p>The parental contribution to the EFC gets automatically divided by the number of kids in college. For most, the parental contribution is the largest portion of the EFC. If the individual kids have significant assets, or income over about 3K per year, then the calculation would be different, and the overall EFC might not remain the same as the additional kid’s income/assets are added to the overall EFC.</p>
