Effect of Pass and No Pass after College

Hi, I'm just a curious Berkeley student who happened to take a lot of Pass and No Pass courses. And I have a question about the Pass/No Pass policy and its effect in the future. So, if I get a no pass grade, apparently in Berkeley GPA wise, there is no problem other than I don't get any unit for that course (which I have no problem with).

However, I have heard about that some law schools don't take too kindly of these marks. Even then, I don't have too much problem with that either since I'm not planning to go to law schools.

But I am interested in going to other grad schools like science and engineering grad schools. And I was wondering, in general (I understand that different schools have different policies), how the no pass mark or pass/no pass in general would affect the grad school or when getting hired for a job. Thanks!
