Effective method for CR?

So I’ve been practicing a lot, and I can’t seem to be improving my CR score. It’s in the 500’s, so I’m really trying to raise it.

For the paragraph sections, I’ve tried looking at the questions first, and then skimming to find the answers. Then I tried reading the paragraphs first, then answer the questions, and for the double paragraphs, reading the 1st one, answering the corresponding questions, then reading the 2nd one, and answering its corresponding questions. I attempted to summarize what each paragraph says in the margins, but I had an even more difficult time. I have also tried reading and circling key words. I just don’t know what to do, and how to solve these questions, especially the implied/main idea ones.

Also, how can I memorize vocabulary words effectively and enough so that I can do better in the sentence completions?

In general, do you guys have any tips and suggestions, etc to improve in the CR section?

I look for questions with specific line numbers or excerpts and mark those excerpts in the reading. I then read a bit, maybe a third or fourth of the passage, answer the objective questions pertaining to that section. Repeat until done reading. I always answer questions about the entire piece ( mood, tone, etc) and the end.
