Effects of W and "easy" courseload on transfer chances

Hi, I just completed my first semester with a W in an Acting class and have just started to consider transferring to Holy Cross or Notre Dame from Northeastern University. I came in with AP credits for basically all the first year econ courses (Macro, Micro, Calc), so, I decided to spend my first year completing core courses and starting my minor (Spanish). This, I fear, will make my courses come across as too “easy.” Since I withdrew from the acting course, I am going to fulfill the requirement with a textbook course in rock music next semester. The other classes I’ll be taking are Statistics, first-level comp-sci (both econ requirements) and a Spanish course (my intended minor). In this fall semester I received a B+ in an economic history course, an A in a required writing course, and an A in an intermediate Spanish course.

Basically, I want to know if the two colleges are going to look at my application seriously if I am an econ major with a W, two Spanish courses, and two arts courses in my application. I believe I am capable of getting straight A’s next semester, which would make my GPA a 3.89.

By the way, I wasn’t in danger of failing the course I withdrew from (although I certainly wasn’t going to get an A), I just despised the course and didn’t get along with the professor, which are perhaps still bad reasons…
