why are ppl suggesting we need eggcrates for our mattress…is it necessary to bring one? how many u guys are bringing one?

i’m bringing one…makes the bed softer and more comfortable

I didn’t like the mattresses too much when I slept there during orientation. >_< So hard.

I like it hard.

:x

I do, too.

…wait

¬_¬;;; …

The mattresses at most university dorms are really crappy. UCSD is no exception. I could definitely feel the springs pushing up against my spine during orientation…

I bought one of those fancy shmancy bed liner thingies.

this might sound like a dumb question, but do you put the bumpy side up or flat side up?

Most do it up

riiiiiiiiiiiiight. so which side would that be.

Errr. My bad.

Bumpy up.

i thought that at first too, but then wouldn’t your bed look funny?

eggcrate mattress covers are EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE! A fire in the dorm is probably one of the bigger dangers for college students.

It is better to use a “mattress cover”. These are filled with various materials, polyester fiberfill, quallofill, down. Some have a lot of padding.

yea i’m gonna bring a matress cover…got it at bed&bath
