Ehhhhhh. I am a melting pot.

If I was 1/8 Black(12.5%) ; 3/8(37.5%) Mexican ;and 4/8(50%) Asian and I do not look asian or live an asian lifestyle do you think i should check only “Black” and “mexican” on the common app? (I mostly look black and mexican.l)

Well, logically, you would check all that applies. Do you not want to check Asian because it’s ORM? You can actually check Hispanic only, or whatever, race field is completely optional and you are the one who determines it. However, I wouldn’t abuse it.

Yes, the ORM status does play a part. But why check it if I do not even look like it?

As I said, whatever you want, no one obliges you to check something specific. I would check all that applies or wouldn’t report at all

I’m curious about why you keep asking a question that has already been answered in the FAQ thread.

If I were you, I would check both Black and Mexican and then proceed to prance straight into the “accepted” stack.
