<p>I had forgotten about this until one of the young men in son’s troop asked me about it. In case anyone is not aware, eKnowledge offers their SAT or ACT PowerPrep software course free to Boy Scouts. This does include girls if they are in a Venture Crew. You can choose either/or course for free, or for a very minimal fee compared to their regular charge, get the deluxe version for both. This is a full licensed version. Maybe it’s common knowledge elsewhere, but in our area of Texas I haven’t found a single scouting family that’s been aware of the program until I passed on the information. It’s a decent course, comes with practice tests, will let you focus on whatever sections you need to work on. I’m not saying it’s the best there is, but if you live in an area where prep classes aren’t offered or are too expensive, you can’t beat the price. I’m not sure what the CC policy on links is, but you can go to scouting.org, (the official National BSA site) search for eKnowledge or sat prep and you should find the page and the link.
