<p>My mom has definitely lost her filters. I think she’s always been racist, but at 89 years old, she now doesn’t bother to be polite about it. A while back she was making loud racist comments in the dining room at her assisted living. I kept shushing her, and finally said, “Mom!! This is 2013, and it is NOT okay to be a bigot anymore!” She did pipe down after that.</p>
