I remember reading Electrical had a little higher avg gpa, but I mean it’s between 2.5 and 2.6 so it doesn’t really matter. Pick whichever one you like better. Browse around in the courses [The Henry Samueli School of Engineering - Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering](<a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>UCI General Catalogue Archives) and see what seems more interesting to you. I actually shifted focus just by looking around in the courses heh.

are these people even able to find a job once they graduate???

Matters…do you want to fix my lights or my car?

lol. ^ hope you realize he or she is joking.

Seriously though, Electrical Engineering is way, way better in terms of jobs and starting salary (which is what I’m assuming you care about).

In this society and economy, electrical engineering is more the way to go if you want to secure a job easier. However, I would highly recommend you choose a field that interests you most. There are always jobs in both fields to be acquired…
