This is going to require 6 hours of cabinetry rework, so I’m going with the local company that will do the whole thing, and these are the two brands that will fit my 27" width cabinet space.
Electrolux comes in the “wave” series and the IQ touch series; Bosch in an 800 and a 500 series.
We’ve had an Electrolux IQ Touch for about 5 years. Worked wonderfully until there was a thermostat problem a few months ago…then our home warranty company started sending out a series of well-meaning but incompetent repair contractors. After many visits, many co-pays for service calls (but still non-functional oven), we called up the authorized Electrolux service and paid out of our own pocket. Now it works great again. Bottom line? If there is not an authorized E or B service company near you (which has consistently great reviews on Yelp or Angie’s List!), I wouldn’t buy those brands. Yeah, it’s prestigious/stylish until it breaks…and then you may wish you had bought a GE/Whirlpool/Amana etc.
Didn’t know Electrolux made wall ovens, but I love the front loading washer and dryer I have had since 2008. Love them so much I took them with me when I downsized too.
I have the Electrolux wall oven. It’s been about a year and a half and we’ve had no problems. One reason why I chose it is because it has some super low settings like dehydrate and bread proof that aren’t so easy to find.
I was worried about an electric oven having a loud fan but it’s very quiet.
