Does anyone know if you are invited to ed2 at Elon and don’t do it, can you still get in?

They have ED2 invites? My DS was deferred, but didn’t know they had option to ED if they didn’t the first time.
My S was also invited (strongly encouraged) to convert his app to ED2. We did not take the offer. Will see what happens.
Of course you can get In. It’s a marketing ploy. Many schools push for ED because they want assured revenue.
So there’s a 66% acceptance and 13% yield. Less than 25% of attendees go ED but some are athletes.
If you’re over the averages and demonstrate interest and you are not comfortable with being bound or want to compare offers, then don’t ED.
It’s a marketing ploy. Many schools if you submit a RD application will send you an email asking if you want to switch to ED.

EA is the same thing as RD in this case. I wouldn’t give it any further thought, if you wanted to apply ED you would have in the first place. Schools with lower yield rates love to get kids to switch in order to lock them in. And you don’t need to get an “offer” to switch your app to ED, people do it all the time - likewise people withdraw ED apps also while pending if they get cold feet. But the last thing anyone needs to do is switch to ED if he/she was on the fence about the school for any reason.
