Congrats to your daughter! That must be so gratifying for you as a parent to see her so happy and successful. I’m guessing she applied for 3+1 when she first applied to Elon? My son (applicant) was absolutely insistent that he didn’t want to do a 4-year master’s, when I raised it before the application deadline last month, and now he got accepted to a 3+1 MBA program at another school (where he only had to check a box in the app), and has regrets he didn’t apply at Elon.

That is great! Congrats to your daughter! My son applied to the 3+1 accounting program and wants to become a CPA (as of now:). He does have a fair number of dual enrollment classes, which I think could help with this if Elon is good at accepting dual enrollment credits from HS. Seems like a great school! Praying decisions are posted next week!

My D did not apply for 3+1 at the time she applied to Elon. Maybe if your son contacts Admissions, he could ask to apply now? It sounds like decisions have not been made yet.

Anyone know if they typically announce merit with letter? Net Price calc said 20k but nothing in letter
DD accepted undeclared. Really, really happy about it

They said in a zoom earlier this week that they award $8k or $12k in presidential scholarships to some in the acceptance letter - but they may offer them to other students later. And it sounded like they do have other funds they award merit aid from later.
My son was accepted after apply EA - so excited for him! Congrats to all who were also admitted! He received a phone call from the admissions rep too - that was really impressive (he had communicated with her a lot). Curious if others got a call too?

My DD got deferred, and I’m both sad and surprised. Sad because Elon is perfect for her. Surprised because her college counselor rated it as a safety. Any other deferrals?

I just realized that my son’s letter actually mentions something specific from his main essay! What a wonderful touch! I can’t wait to ask him about it in the morning. Honestly, we were so ecstatic when he first opened it that we didn’t see anything beyond ‘yes.’
I’m so sorry. If it’s any consolation, we’ve had disappointments too - including a deferral from a school we thought was a safety. It’s so hard seeing our kids disappointed. One thing they emphasized on the zoom earlier this week was that students who are deferred should keep in touch with their admissions counselor, keep showing interest - that they want students who want to be there. Mentioning in case it’s helpful. Hoping you get good news soon.

Same! LOL! I thought it was such a nice touch to mention his extracurriculars and details about his essay. My son is in for accounting and invited to interview for the 3+1. Do you or anyone know if you are accepted to the 3+1 program, could you potentially get additional merit? My son only got $8k so the price is still a bit steep. Thanks!

Congrats! I don’t know of additional merit for 3+1, but there are other ways to get additional funds. If your son is a Business Fellow, there are 60 Business Fellow scholarships at $8,000 annually. He should apply for the fellows program (don’t remember the timing of that). There are some perks associated with the Business Fellows, including a largely school-paid trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Business Fellows also travel to New York City for company meetings and my D is going to Portugal with them in January.
There are scholarships available through the Love School of Business that my D applied for and got. I believe they were $2K. She was recently awarded $500 by the Accounting Department - did not apply. They just selected her. She is very self-motivated and arranged for 3 internships after freshman, sophomore and junior year. Her junior year internship was with a Big 4 accounting firm. That paid well and led to an offer. She also did on campus jobs (tour guide/intern in the Admissions Office), where she also earned money.
