For anyone who got deferred, if Elon is really now your number one choice, you can switch your app to ED 2. We were in the last Zoom admission meeting before decision day, and they said it would increase your chances of getting in by a fair amount. If that is your situation, I would suggest contacting the admissions office.
My son was accepted with $12K presidential scholarship! Bio major. I was super impressed with the personal details from his essay mentioned in the letter. We have a lot of schools yet to hear from, but we’re super excited about this one!
That is amazing! Thank you!
Congrats! So far Elon has been the only net price calculator that wasn’t even close for us 20k a year on calculator and she got zero
Hi. My son will be interviewing for the co-op and Business Fellows 2/6-2/7. Does anyone know what the likelihood of getting accepted is (after being selected to interview)?Any thoughts on if it’s possible to do both if he gets accepted?
Congrats! Same for our son re both. I don’t believe they can do both, no. Re chances - my understanding is that Business Fellows is extremely competitive. This is the first year of the 3+ Co-op program, and I think I heard in a zoom session they had 60 applicants for 30 spots - so chances may be good for that program. (That was 60 applicants - not 60 admitted students invited to interview, which is likely an even smaller number.) It sounds like it’ll be a great program - I love the humanity-in-business approach, the co-op year, the professional mentoring, and the travel abroad opportunity. We’re really hoping our son will be selected and will choose Elon over his other top choice. Good luck!
For those in the deferred boat, looks like there’s some movement as my child got accepted last night.
Did your letter mention business? Ours did not, though my child applied for finance. I heard Elon typically does not admit for a major and you select it after your first semester. Does anyone know if there are any requirements to be able to select majors in the School of Business?
My son’s letter did not mention business either, although that’s his intended major.
I have a D23 at Elon (having a great experience). Assuming things have not changed, you don’t declare a major until Sophomore year. She is not a bus major, but I don’t believe that there are additional requirements to join the business school (aside from perhaps maintaining an adequate gpa your first year).
I believe there are no requirements to select a business major.
