Anyone know what time acceptances are being released?
Information in the portal says:
Early Action Release Information
Admissions decisions for students who applied Early Action will be released on Wednesday, December 20, at 8 p.m. ET. You will receive an email with the subject line âAn Update to Your Elon Applicationâ that includes instructions on how to review your decision.

Not sure, I get itâs a nice touch but think increases the stress for all others.

Lot of talk about this on the Elon FB parent page - no one knows why some people get called and others donât. Legacies, fellows, etc - there is no common theme. Mine didnât and never mentioned this to me so IDK if it gets talked about later or what. We also got the email late morning. She was in NY walking to the train station and I called her to tell her to check her email.
Most seem to agree that it just causes stress for other kids.

Daughter just got called!, sheâs In with Presidential scholarship! I love this school 
Edited to add I think she got a call because she showed a lot of interest and had a bit of an email relationship with the AO,

YAY! Son got in. Is merit listed in the acceptance or come later? First school with no merit listed, so thought that was weird!

I think the larger ones come in the letter but fellows, scholars etc are still available for them to apply to.

My son had scholarship included in acceptance letter.

D24 got in, it she didnât get a scholarship it seems, which makes Elon the only school she applied to that she didnât get the top level merit (excluding NMF and perfect SAT).
SAT 1480
GPA 3.9 UW/4.5 W
All AP and Honors for core classes
4 years of choir and theater
Junior docent at a presidential library
I mean she got a Presidential scholarship at Alabama, the Chancellorâs at Denver, the Deans at TCU, accepted to the top honors subset at Baylor, so this is unexpected. Elon was in her top 2 but I guess not anymore.

My son was deferred. The letter stated that Elon had over 15,000 early applicants.

Honors, fellows and scholars all come with merit. It seems like she would highly likely to get those.
DS admitted with presidential but with notations that decisions on fellows and scholars would be forthcoming. Do not lose hope!
Honors comes with a scholarship and a Presidential, but Fellows scholarships only stack if you were initially awarded a Presidential.
Our goal with the college list was to chase merit, and she loved Elon. I would bet she doesnât get an honors invite, and now sheâs not going to apply to Fellows because it wouldnât be enough anyway.
DS is in, first school that didnât offer merit. Yikes!

Does this mean that if I wasnât awarded a presidential scholarship through my admission letter tonight, but Iâm invited to honors (and subsequently get honors), that I would get a presidential scholarship as a result? And could this explain why I mightâve not received one in tonightâs letter? I was told that it was very likely for me from a friend @ Elon! Regardless, happy to have been accepted!!!

I would not think that it is likely that they would give Honors invites to people without Presidential scholarships as a plan, because not everyone makes it through Honors weekend, and then those people are left with nothing. It doesnât make sense. They say the Presidential is automatically awarded to those who meet the criteria, which I guess is just not us.
It makes no sense to kill the morale of those you want to put in Honors. I guess D24 is just not what theyâre looking for.
