DD accepted EA today. 4.1w/1370 w/ 9 APs and a heavy load of ECs. Not at the top of her list, but somewhere I would be thrilled if she attended.

My daughter didnāt Apply to honors, she did submit a Fellows application. If I recall the Honors app was due 12/1. Her admission letter thanked her for her submission to Fellows.

I really love this school. No mention of merit, but can still apply to Fellows.
We listened to the zoom about Fellows last week, and we were super, super impressed. It seems like an amazzzzing program. If youāre accepted to Fellows, there is some merit. No phone call, but the acceptance letter made reference to one of the supplemental essays, which feels really nice. Grateful.

I thought Honors and Fellows invites both came out February 1. At least thatās what I gathered from reading prior year threads.
I admit to being envious of all of you who got calls and had personal notes in your letters. I had D24 pull hers up again and it just said they enjoyed reading her essay. It could have been written by a robot that didnāt even see her file.
Iām so shocked. Dd24 deferred. We visited, stayed on campus, dd emailed and had nice interactions with ao at college fair. 4.0 UW, challenging classes, 1460, engaged ec. I feel like they deferred her bc her profile is strong. She really liked Elon

Wow that is surprising to get deferred with those stats. I honestly would have thought someone with your D stats would be get in to Elon easilyā¦unless she was applying for MT or another audition based performing art? Iām sure she will land somewhere great. Good luck!

Same here. 4.45 gpa/33 ACT, great activities (long term dedication to sport, captain of varsity team, volunteering, large amount fundraiser for local organization, etc.). No mention of merit. I also wondered if it will be in the honors interview invite, but that seems weird too. So many people with high stats didnāt get presidential when people with lower stats did. Not to say stats are everything, but in my kidās case, they have plenty to go with it. And great recs from an Elon grad. Has gotten merit everywhere else merit has been given to the highest amount.

Son accepted last night with Engagement Scholarship! Lots of hard choices to make.
Out of curiosity - did anyone else not receive an email informing them to check the portal for an update? I was expecting one around 8pm ET, as Elon had indicated, but nothing ever came. My child logged in to the portal right around that time to check and saw their result, so I suppose itās possible the notification email wasnāt triggered because of that, but that seems unlikely. Anyway, just curious.
Never received an email either!
DS also accepted last night with 22K engagement scholarship award. He is in a fortunate position to make choices across great places!

years ago my D got accepted with no merit. In April, they then gave her some merit. I assume that was because she had not accepted or declined yet, but was on the fence. She did get accepted to her number 1 school (Elon was number 2 at the time), so she went there. She now looks back and almost wishes she had gone to Elon knowing friends who did go there

My daughter never received an email either. Accepted with Presidential scholarship. Shes so excited!
