Are you seeing the $10k scholarship in the acceptance letter? Or somewhere else?

In the letter

My son was not outright accepted (or rejected) but was offered their Bridge Program. Is anyone familiar with this? It sounds interesting.

Yes it seems it came out tonight - my son got a letter with the presidential scholarship. Congrats to all who have received an acceptance. We visited it a year+ ago and I enjoyed the visit.

Curious if you don’t mind sharing your son’s stats? IDK about Elon generally, but have heard great things about bridge programs generally in terms of support and community building for incoming students.

Honors and Fellowship invitations are out!

Interesting… so it says Weekend II- March 7&8… wonder if there are different weekends for different Fellows programs.

We’re the same weekend, Business Fellows and Honors. I wonder if they had to break it into two groups?

We are Comms Fellows

Same here

anyone want to provide an overview of fellows and their benefits? I just spent sometime online at the Elon site.

I know this is cynical of me, but it seems like a brilliant marketing move to get considering students to come back for an accepted students / red carpet day type event.

My Soph son is a Nursing Fellows. It comes with additional scholarship $$. Above that they have special events every semester just for those in the fellows program. It also includes at least one trip, the senior nursing fellows just spent January in Cuba. Many have said Comm Fellows and Business Fellows opened up positions for them for internships and after graduation having participated in the program.

My D is a Business Fellow. Can’t say enough good things about the program. It’s a great cohort of students with an excellent faculty mentor. She took school-paid trips to Dubai and NYC. She is interning at a Big 4 accounting firm this summer.

As for the Fellows Weekend, we felt that even if she had not been offered a spot as a fellow, it was a good opportunity for us to talk to faculty and business students and the school would have been a good fit for her even without fellows. But the fellows opportunities have been really great.

Any idea of how many are invited?

I don’t. My son decided to turn down the invite, best of luck to all!
