Elon University or Samford University?

I am going to be a high school senior this year and I am trying to get a head start on my college applications. Elon has been my number 1 school for the past few months. I visited the school and the campus and academics were exactly what I wanted. (small/medium sized school, nightlife/activities take part on campus, most students are out of state, good business program, and a lot of student organizations) However, today I looked into Samford University online and it too looks amazing! I don’t think that I will be able to get in a college visit for this school unfortunately… But overall, both schools seem very similar. I am from the northeast, so I don’t really have a lot of family/friends who know about these schools. Without the factor of tuition, could anyone provide any input as to which school they feel has better academics (business), school pride, social atmosphere, location, and campus environment?

Elon defenitley!!

long live elon!

Elon.

Samford is wel respected academically, but it’s much more conservative. If that’s what you want, then you might like Samford.
A friend of mine, a Christian; teaches there; and is going through culture shock as I type. From the Northeast and feeling isolated and unhappy.

Samford. In conversation, people hear ‘Stanford,’ and you get major props.

My son attends Samford and he and I are extremely pleased

@makennacompton hahaha it’s like Cornell College

I have not visited Elon, but I have toured Samford and it is a wonderful school. The campus is beautiful and the people are so friendly. The professors were so kind. As I was walking around campus in the language building, a professor stopped and asked if he could help. When I told him I was there touring samford and was interested in the Spanish program, he invited me into his office and sat and talked with me for an hour. I absolutely loved it. (I am planning on going pre medicine with a Spanish minor.)
