Hey!
Elon and William and Mary are my top 2 schools right now, so I was wondering if anyone knew the major differences between them??
Thanks!!

William and Mary would be my choice… top program can’t really compare to Elon but it all depends on cost I suppose
These colleges keep different academic company. Of major qualities that can be defined, this aspect might be the most impactful with respect to campus atmospheres. Nonetheless, both of these schools offer qualities that make them desirable to prospective students.

I know some folks associated with Elon and I think of it as fairly applied and professional focused – they really value experiential learning, for instance, and I think do a lot around career placement. I think of W&M as more traditional liberal arts university. Prolly more of an intellectual vibe. So not sure which appeals to you more?
These are in my son’s top choices as well. I agree that the academics at W&M are at a higher level, and the student body seems to be more academic focused and an intellectual vibe. I’ve also often read W&M students have a “quirky” vibe (is this code for nerdy? I wonder, in this case) and have never read that about Elon. Elon is easier to get into academically, has more of a party scene. But I only hear great things about Elon and their engaged learning, Elon has a great reputation, and IMO is a great school as well…but I would place W&M higher academically.
Both are tiny towns so they have that in common! Assuming you’ve visited both. I would imagine there would be a significant difference in their cost to you, if you are out of state.
