What are some schools similar to elon?
Furman, Wofford, High Point all come to mind. Furman is probably the most difficult to get in to, and the most prestigious. All are smallish schools right out side of medium sized cities. Elon is probably the most remote about 15-20ish minutes outside of Greensboro. None have more than 6,000 students, with Wofford being the smallest with under 2,000. Wofford and Furman are both outside of Greenville, and Elon and High Point are both outside of Greensboro. High Point is often considered to be “like a country club”
You could argue that Sewanee is similar, but it is much more rural in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain in Tennessee.
Davidson and Washington & Lee (although more selective).
Loyola Marymount, Drake, Rollins College, and Chapman.
All target themselves towards preprofessional B+ students who come from wealthier backgrounds, and are medium sized. Though these schools are in more urban/ suburban locations than Elon, they are none the less similar in many aspects.
Here’s Elon’s list of peer institutions:

Richmond, Davidson, and William & Mary would be more selective than Elon. I was surprised not to see Wake Forest on the list, as I think it is more like Elon than Davidson is.
