Email Exchange Help?

For years, we have used a company called Intermedia to handle our Outlook email exchange (forgive me if I use some wrong terms, because this stuff is Greek to me). They have been great in the past, but I’m at my wits’ end right now. I have incurred hundreds of dollars in costs this month. A bunch of DH’s email disappeared and they charged us $250 to restore it. They claim I should have known about the charge, but I sure didn’t see it.

And now, they’re charging me for data storage. I’ve tried to get the problem resolved with no success. The amount of data I have stored supposedly went up from 33.9 GB yesterday to 55.1 today! What the heck? Like I say, we’ve had this exchange for years.

ANYWAY, I’m just done with these people. I looked it up, and it seems like Microsoft 365 should be able to handle an exchange? Does anyone know if it’s difficult to set up? We have a high school kid who helps us with computer issues - is this something a bright kid could help us figure out? Or is there another option I should consider.

It’s not only the charges, it’s my loss of work time. ARGHH!! And my husband is still having issues with his email.

I swear, I keep going back to my AOL address because I have literally NEVER had a problem with it since 1995. The only reason I don’t use it exclusively is that people laugh at me, ha. And they never charge me for data storage. I have 112,000 emails in my AOL inbox.

Maybe Google Workspaces might address your need?

It’s not Outlook, but you can transfer your emails using a tool they provide.

Do you have a domain address already?

I will look into it! Yes, we have a domain.

Great. If you already have a domain, Google Workspace lets you create email addresses that match it.
