Did you mark on your application that you are applying for financial aid? Did you submit your FASFA?
Yes… for all my CSU and UC apps. SJSU is first to ask … Chico, Fullerton and Sac have not. I haven’t even been accepted to SJSU
Admissions and financial aid are independent of each other. Some schools just do random audits.
Every state school has different budgets because they are pulling from private resources as well as the standard state funding. (Some schools have more alumni donations allocated to financial aid.) Some FA staffs have priorities for timelines and budgets, so you go with the flow and you send what you need to send.
