I’m from Sao Paulo - SP. Before finishing my application, I still had hope… but now, lost here at CC and seeing all these amazing stats, I can say that I have pretty slim chances =(
About the other Brazilians: one was a girl from Rio who didn’t get into UChicago. The other was a guy from an American school here in SP.

I’m heading to USP if I don’t get in, so it’s not so bad…

Haha oh how I hated that class… the Chi-square tests still haunt me two years down the line. :D

Anyways, I suspect it may well be by region as all the people in my school got it the same day too. We all definitely didn’t get in, and I find it unlikely that none of us did, since this year so far, our school has a significant number of acceptances to top, top colleges and most of the Princeton applicants are cross applicants, myself included.

Then again, aliu may be onto something. Maybe I’m trying to comfort myself for getting an email on the first day, but I truly doubt that they would structure emails in such a manner.

Maybe Princeton is sending the emails in alphabetical order with our email accounts. It would make sense for them to make a grand list of applicants’ emails and send the emails out chunks at a time from that list.

hey agldro I’m a boy, if it helps too…
haha… Yep… well… USP isn’t that bad, huh??
I think my locatlization is an advantage because i never heard about people form here applying for american colleges. I hope I’m right and I hope you’ll be accepted as well… =D
I have a friend from Porto Alegre who applying for UPenn too… As we he didn’t receive the answer… =P
I read you received the letter talking about online decisions… Wierd, because I haven’t and we’re from the same country. … o.O

I received my email on the 18th. It was straightforward telling me online decisions will be posted on the 31st. My email begins with a “D” so perhaps it is sent out by email alphabetical order. Those who just received their email -what does your email begin with?
