I recently got rejected from my top choice major at my top school choice. In a fit of rage and agony I sent a very long email to the admissions office explaining why I wanted the major I selected and more about who I am as a person. I was wondering if this will affect my acceptance to my second choice major and if they’ll even read it. Has anybody done this before and if so did the admissions office respond to you? LOL I wish I could take the email back… they probably think Im kind of psycho.
Were you rejected to your top major and accepted to your second major? Or were you rejected to your top major and waiting for an answer to your second major? I’m confused.
@STEM2017 Sorry, I was rejected from my first and accepted into my second.
Ok. Unless your letter was malicious, it should not affect your second major. If you have NO intention of attending this college for the second major, then you have nothing to lose by writing or calling to explain that you would like to be reconsidered for your top major, although it is probably unlikely.
@STEM2017 Thanks so much, it was worth a try I guess.
Next time, come see us before you hit send.
@DollyParton
Admirable that you are still pursuing education despite a very successful career!
@JBSeattle HAHHAHAHHA
