<p>i applied to ucr ucsc…my uc gpa is 2.8 i know i know…ca resident, immigrant…lots of comm service(adopt a grandparent, elementary mentoring, tutoring…) …lots of ecs(varsity tennis 3 years, junior missionary, youth group president+ more)…1200 sats.1840 sat 2 composite…7 honors ap classes…great essays (i made a teacher cry) drastic improvement in gpa…so tell me what are my chances? can anything make up for my poopie gpa?</p>

<p>UCR- probably 90% especially if your essays are that good. Your SATs scores might help a lot.
UCSB- hmm…Don’t know much about that school, but I’ll say 80-90%</p>
<p>I think those schools are not too tough to get into, but UC’s are really weird so we’ll never know.</p>
