Embark.com vs Commonapplication.com

I read a lot about college applications being submitted through commonapplication.com, though what about embark.com? I myself just learn about Embark yesterday, and was wondering how many cc users use this source, reason for the website not known as much as commonapplication etc… I’m just still surprise I’ve never came across Embark.com until yesterday through University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

I’ve never heard of embark.com. I think you should stick to commonapp.

No, University of Michigan- Ann Arbor application is through Embark, if you want to apply… including tons of other universities. It seems like Embark.com is similar to commonapplication, but more public schools.

I figured Embark.com isn’t as popular as commonapplication.com, considering commonapplication have it’s own forum on this website.

Common App is something that you must use for schools that use it … sending it in directly to Us by old snail mail or on-line. Common App also encompasses a good number of top privates in the country … and LACs. Check out the list here:
https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/Members.aspx

Embark.com is an app submittal service used by UMich and some other schools (like Cornell Summer, CUSC) … but I don’t think UMich requires you to use it. You can submit the UMich app by mail … but the UMich admit office isn’t the most organized in the world, so you would be playing safe by using Embark.

Interesting, I guess I will need to look more into it. Though those applying to George Washington University can apply through commonapplication, or just online through their website.
