Emergency - Might get a D in an elective course

UCSD accepted me and I already SIR’d. I have 59/60 transferrable credits and this online Library Science course has that one credit that will let me transfer. Unfortunatly, while studying for the finals, i forgot to submit an assignment online worth 100 points and even if I aced the the final EXAM. My current grade of 98% can drop to a 66% if she chooses not to accept late work. I sent her an email with the assignment attached less than half an hour past its due date.

IGETC is already completed and this class doesnt affect it. I just need the one transferrable credit to transfer. Will a d give me that credit and or will UCSD rescind the transfer?

On the off chance that she shows no mercy, could i possible just take another course during summer to get that extra credit? I read that students must have a passing grade of a C for their classes, so i am extremely worried right now.

My current community college does not offer the same course during summer, but could i just take a different course and get that transferrable credit and be done?

I plan on calling UCSD Office of Admissions as soon as my professor replies, hopefully tomorrow.

If you submitted the assignment less than half an hour past its due date, I doubt your instructor will grade you zero on it. But if she shows no mercy, it’s still an elective course that won’t show up in the TAG as “Courses Satisfying UC Eligibility Pattern.” Library Science doesn’t even exist as a course in my CC, so I’d make an appointment with a transfer advisor just to be sure, but I wouldn’t panic about it. Best of luck!
