I am a high school senior and the deadline is only a couple days away. I am down to two colleges. However, I accidently had not sent my FAFSA to one of them until a couple days ago. However, I need to know exactly how much aid I am getting from that college and will base my decision based off comparing costs. I can’t compare costs until I receive my aid report from one of the two (already got the other). I emailed them and they wont respond. How can I find out my aid report???
Did you try the school’s Net Price calculator to see if you can get a rough estimate?
Is the money from the first school a Pell grant? That should be the same at both schools. Other funds like a SEOG or work study can change because schools often award on a first come, first served basis until they run out of money. Look at the school’s financial aid website and see if there are any automatic scholarships you would receive based on grades and scores.
Otherwise, ask them for an extension or pick the other school.
I agree. Try the net price calculator. Does the school only require FAFSA for awarding aid? Is it an instate or OOS public?
If it is a public school then you probably will only get whatever you qualify for in federal and maybe state aid, which depends on your FAFSA EFC.
You are just figuring this out NOW? Three days before the matriculation choice deadline?
You need to contact the school. It is highly likely you have missed the deadlines for any institutional aid they offer to students.
If you are entitled to the Pell Grant, you will get the same amount at this school as others,
And you will get a $5500 Direct Loan.
If you want to say what school that might help.
If you got Pell and Direct loans from one, that should be the same as the other, as has been said.
You can probably contact the two and request an extension to commit because you are waiting on an aid package.
They may or may not grant, since the OP missed the FA deadlines by a mile.
