I got in!

hey I got waitlisted too Im a Little confused, how does this work do we select the button to keep us on the waitlist and then if we get taken off it do we have to go, or is it not binding this waitlist to be kept on it.

@Theguy4456 No. If you decide to stay on the waitlist, and you get accepted, you don’t have to attend Emerson.

My son got accepted today but we were told we won’t hear about scholarship/financial aid for another week.

@musicmom425 Merit scholarships are supposed to be in your acceptance letter. You are correct that financial aid won’t come out for a while.

On my acceptance letter it said that I have to submit my enrollment deposit by June 1. I wonder if other schools will extend the enrollment deposit deadline too?

got in today, poli comm major. There wasn’t anything about financial aid/merit in the acceptance letter. does that not come out until later or did i not get anything?

D accepted with $15,000 scholarship!

I was accepted into the spring semester as a communications major even though I applied for the fall semester. Little confused about that.

But so happy I got in! I’m an out-of-state applicant from Dallas, Texas. I have an 1180 SAT and a 23 ACT, 4.3 weighted gpa, and pretty good ECs.

@plbscholar It essentially means they don’t want to admit you as part of the fall cohort. Colleges normally do it if they aren’t sure about yield or if they don’t want certain test scores to show up in their admitting averages.

I figured. Thanks!

Hi all, I was accepted RD into the class of 2024 with some merit aid. The conditions of my application were a little bit strange-- Emerson was never a school that was exactly pushed at me (not sure why, as it pretty much has everything that I want) and so I didn’t look very deeply into it, wasn’t even going to apply until a package came to my door with a “priority application”. It caught my eye and I decided to do some research, and by the next morning I was sure that this was a great place for me. I’m thrilled to have been accepted, but I haven’t visited campus and it looks like I probably won’t be able to.

Do any of you have any perspective on what the environment is like? The city school experience? I want to get a feel for the experience in whatever way I can (esp. in the journalism program, but really any area would help). I’m honestly floundering a bit here, as I’m seriously considering it, but I don’t feel right flying blind into a school that I’ve never visited. For reference, I have been to Boston, including the Commons area, and I do love it there, but this is the only city school that I have considered. Thank you in advance to anyone who reads this and/or replies!
