Emmy’s tonight! I’m going to allow myself to sit down and do a little work while watching the red carpet and show. I’m recording so will use the DVR and catch up on red carpet in a bit.

I do wish they wouldn’t camera away from the person they are talking to more than once during an interview (to see another star posing or coming in) - distracting!
Milo Ventimiglia looks 25 - he’s 42! He brought his parents. Cute. And so is he. 
Have to say I’ve only caught about half of the E! Red Carpet and it’s…blah.
I think I’ll just wait for the actual show!

A couple of nice speeches. Many good shows and performers up for awards and of course,not everyone can win!
Ack- nodded off during what was apparently a good speech by … um… a blonde female. - what’d I miss (right before the Chernobyl win)
Michelle Williams. Fosse/Verdon.
“Thank you so much. We’ve worked so hard to make this TV show,” she said in her speech. “I see this as an example of what’s possible when a woman is trusted and feels safe enough to voice her needs and is respected enough to be heard.”
Williams thanked FOX for paying her equally, saying that the network "understood that when you put value into a person, it empowers that person.
“Next time a woman —and especially a woman of color, because she stands to make 52 cents on the dollar compared to her white male counterpart —tells you what she needs in order to do her job, listen to her, believe her, because one day she might stand in front of you and say, 'Thank you for allowing her to succeed because of her workplace environment and not in spite of it,”
It was particularly poignant because Fosse/Verdon showed how much of his success was due to her work and her choreography, yet she gets virtually none of the credit (the retrospective of their work was called, simply, “Fosse.”)

I didn’t see the Emmys last night, but did see this article about the pre-show Red Carpet interviews. If I didn’t already have zero respect for her due to her antivax history, I’d really be rolling my eyes.
