Emmys 2013

Watching the Emmys made me realize, 1. I don’t watch any comedy shows. I am not familiar with any of them. 2. There are so many shows I don’t have access to (and am unfamiliar with) because I don’t have HBO, and only subscribe to Shotime when Homeland is on.

the choreography awards part was the best! I woke up for that!

I got irritated that AS SOON as an award winner started talking that the “hurry up” music for their thank you started playing. Give them 10 seconds at least before the music starts!

There was one winner toward the end (can’t remember who) where H said they were letting him go on quite long. Michael Douglas perhaps? It was a big name.

Interesting reading media coverage of the event afterwards. There has been some criticism that either Larry Hagman or Jack Klugman should have had an individual tribute, as opposed to Corey Monteith, as Monteith has never won an Emmy. And of course there were the haters who said he shouldn’t have gotten the individual tribute because of how he died. I think an argument can be made for both cases, but yea, had they taken out some of the stupid banter stuff, they could have made more time for either a Hagman or Klugman tribute.

Do have to say I thought Will Ferrell’s schtick with his kids in the end was funny. That middle kid just could not stop cracking up.

Emmy dress review from the eyes of a 7 year old - not too far off IMO!!!

The 7 year old did a great job! I nominate Julianne Hough for the “what WAS she thinking?” award.

Very cute, abasket!
