Emory Class of 2024 Thread!

I think if you want the spot you have to make the deposit which you may lose if you end up getting off of the waitlist at your other school and you decide to go there. I could be wrong but I think those are the rules everywhere. I don’t blame them for wanting the deposit, especially because if you take the spot, that is one less they can offer to someone else. Good luck with your decision.

My D got in off the waitlist this past week. She had a 1440 SAT, 3.8 UW/4.4 W. 13APs, mostly 4s and 5s (3 in AP Physics). She exhausted all the math and spanish classes at her HS at the end of junior year. Played varsity soccer and lacrosse and very active in musical theater both in and outside of school. She is also legacy (I attended undergrad).
She is committed now to Scripps and has gotten pretty excited about it since accepting so not sure what she will do. We live in the mid-atlantic area.

She is competitive but puts alot of pressure on herself so a collaborative environment would be best - which I think both schools are.

Anyone wish to share an opinion would be welcome. We are also waiting for the financial aid package from Emory.
