Does anyone know if this is an indication of passing a general application pre-screen? I know someone who had music on their application and didn’t get one ED. He was later rejected.

I think that message goes to everybody who said they had interest in music. I don’t think it indicates anything.

Scholars programs come out this wednesday at 6PM EST, just got the email

How many kids are finalists usually?

Website says 200/up to 10k

where can i find ppl who got in as a pre med so i can talk to them about how they got in?

Today Emory scholars will be announced, any portal astrology

Has anyone experienced any of the following changes or updates? In the last week of February, my daughter’s Financial Aid Counselor changed. Initially, she was with someone at Emory, but now she’s with someone at Oxford. Our FASFA was updated by a financial aid counselor (the name of the school is unknown). However, the same day it was downloaded from Emory, and whenever we log on and off her admit portal, it defaults to Oxford. Even if we log off with Emory at the top. I know the last sentence is a bit of a portal astrology joke, but I’m curious to know what others have experienced. I hope these changes indicate that her application was still active at the time decision were finalized.

my daughter also has an Oxford FA person - but I didn’t notice who she had before

OK, it’s such a beautiful school with academically rigorous programs! Good luck!

No financial aid counselor visible on my son’s page.

Is this unavailable on the Opus portal? I don’t think the counselor has been on the main school portal before.

can anyone tell me when RD is released?

It hasn’t been officially announced, but it’s likely to be on Wednesday, March 26th. Traditionally, the last Wednesday in March is the day they announce RD.

Hey, I’m sharing a few peculiar and possibly not-so-peculiar things I’ve noticed in my daughter’s Emory admission and Opus portal. These observations might suggest that her application was still in the running before the decision, or they could indicate nothing at all.

Her drop down defaults to Oxford but prior to this it defaulted to Emory. However, I’ve seen post where this no longer an indication but I wanted to mention it. I noticed this on my own before I knew portal astrology was a thing.

The last week of February, the financial aid officer changed from Emory to Oxford.

Her FAFSA was updated by a financial aid counselor (school unknown) the same day Emory pulled it over from not received to received. The change made was something a person with access to my CSS profile would make. Worth mentioning (I think) she’s been waitlisted at all 8 private schools, denied at 1 private and 1 public, waitlisted at 1 public, and accepted at 4 public. We have 4 more schools remaining, 3 private and 1 public. So given the waitlist to those who have access to her CSS, it’s hopefully someone who’s accepted her.

(Everything I’m sharing below is after these occurrence and I don’t have a previous date to compare)

In the Opus portal, her financial task checklist shows that it’s been completed, but it also displays a due date of May 1. However, this date isn’t visible on the computer. (I think this May 1 date might be the same for everyone, but it might be worth looking at. If you don’t see it right away, hit refresh.)

On the computer, there were sections for student records, transcripts, and other documents easily accessible in the search bar, but it’s no longer present. Also, the same day under refresh, we saw a section that said student home page, but it’s no longer there.

On the mobile device, we still can access the same items, and some of them have her name on them. Two in particular items seem significant: one is for the Registrar and appears to be for Emory student record release and is the other Financial and appears to be for work study or tracking pay.

On a mobile, right before logging into admission, there’s a double image for the shield at the top right corner of the page and after logging on there is double name for Emory at the bottom of the page. (This seems like something everyone might have and not a portal astrology thing.)

When you log in to admissions from the computer and slide down slowly you’ll notice that reason for the double image on mobile, section under it actually states that it’s for counselors. (Also, seems like something everyone might have and not a portal astrology thing.)

I’m not certain when these changes took place, whether they were present before or not. However, I began noticing them on February 24th shortly after the system update and I noticed that my daughter’s financial aid counselor changed. I logged on that Monday to follow up on and inquiry we made the previous week regarding day her social security card. The system was running slow and refreshed the page and saw the student homepage. While this wasn’t immediately alarming, the fact that it was gone the following week made me think about all connections. That’s when I logged in from my phone and saw the same things I had seen on the computer but no longer was visible from the computer. If you don’t see the content right away, try refreshing the page or using the “root” option if it’s visible.

Also, I a few of same things in her opus portal, I noticed the slice portal for Syracuse, where she was waitlisted. Therefore, it’s probable that these things don’t hold much significance. However, in the event that she is accepted or not accepted, I thought it could be beneficial for future applicants.
