We’re from CA

Waitlisted again, so the switch in FA counselors meant nothing!

Accepted to Emory from FL! Need to see that financial package though. So far nothing is beating a full-tuition scholarship at Miami. We got so lucky.

No not 1230 or 1330. We were told by his counselor that unless the score is 1550 or higher for Emory then no point in reporting as it is very competitive for biology. It will be self inflicting as she put it. Duh! should’nt have listend her.

According to the commonly used data set, Emory’s range last year was 1470-1500-1540. We also know that 25% of students scored above and below this range. However, to be more precise, 6% of students scored below 1400. The competition is becoming increasingly intense, and these schools and colleges are putting an excessive amount of pressure on these children. Your child performed exceptionally well, and it’s absurd to make him feel as if he should have achieved a perfect score. It’s incomprehensible to make him feel otherwise.

Hi, do we know how many are waitlisted for Oxford? And do they accept anyone from the WL before May 1? Or is strictly after May 1?

@inkyb1 Is this a newsletter from Emory counselor? Is 7500 total WL for both Emory and Oxford? Oxford is DS first choice, WL so trying to figure out realistic chances
 Thank you!

@CC_Sorin Is there an official thread for Emory/ Oxford Waitlist Class of 2029? If not, should I just start one? Thanks!

No idea, my counselor didn’t communicate much about the specifics

@sureal23, there isn’t, but excellent idea for you to start one.
