Emory Letter

Anyone else receive a letter from them, something to the effect of “based on your self reported scores and academic performance…you are the type of student that has typically been succeeded at Emory” (I don’t have the letter with me)? Just trying to figure out if it means anything.

Yeah I got this letter today and I didnt even apply! Very weird.

Yes, my son got this letter after applying for the Goizueta business school at Emory back in March.

P.S. They have said they will announce their decisions on transfers to the business school on June 2nd. His GPA at IU (at the Kelley Business School to which he has already been accepted) is 3.41 and his SAT scores are 650/700/600 (1950). He has already completed both the Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting courses in addition to all the other prerequisites Emory requires. I’m guessing he’s still borderline, or else they give preference to current Emory students.

i talked with emory and they said that its near impossible to be admitted as an external transfer to emory’s goizueta business school. they said the average admitted gpa is a 3.9 and normally they only accept a perfect candidate if they are coming from another institution of high standards and have completed all of the pre-reqs. she said they admitted 3 out of 214 applicants to the business school last year…
