@mariesophia16 unfortunately I think the liberal arts merit awards were announced at the same time as the finalist awards. I think it would have said in the email if you didn’t get the finalist award but got the merit award. My son just got the NO email and nothing said about merit award so I don’t think he got it.
My older son several yrs ago also didn’t become a finalist but was given a LIKELY LETTER notification early march for RD about 3 wks prior to the RD notifications.
I didn’t get in lol. Congrats to those who did!
