@busyybee I messaged you!
I was not a scholar finalist but received a 20,000 achievement award to Oxford and was accepted to both!
anyone still waiting for the email?
I am actually, it’s almost been an hour.
As I wrote this it just came in.
still no email for me
@acctchik have you gotten other emails from emory? they said to check spam folders if you don’t get an email.
@mk0421 congrats!
@momof2eagles I have received emails and there is nothing in my spam folder.
Sorry I mean Oxford College Scholars Finalist and accepted to BOTH Emory and Oxford!
@momof2eagles Thank you!
@acctchik hoping you get good news. I am not sure if this helps. even if you don’t get an email if you are an emory or oxford finalist you should be able to check your OPUS portal see cut and paste below from admissions blog
Once logged in to OPUS, Scholar Finalists should locate the Communications section on the right side menu of their Student Center. When the notification is available, (at or shortly after 6:00 pm ET on Thursday, February 4), admitted Scholar Finalists will find a red link for Unread Communications, which contains their notification letter.
thanks @momof2eagles just checked and it appears I wasn’t selected as there are no unread communications.
@acctchik don’t loose hope if you applied ED2 or RD. you could still get in. the reality is less than 3 percent got notifications they were finalist or got merit award tonight. Not great odds and much better odds getting in RD or ED2
Congrats to those who made it as finalists! Also, for those not selected, don’t give up! I have received many rejections for the scholarships i applied to and literally just yesterday received another one…i was about to cry from both frustration and sadness and almost lost hope. You will get many rejections in life and this process (scholarship, applying for job, university) will make it painful but out of it i’ve learned DON’T LOSE HOPE. There is something-someplace- out there for everyone! You just can’t give up.

D got the “no” for Finalist and no mention of any merit. Congratulations to all who were accepted as Finalists or received merit!
Any possibility that Scholars could post their stats and why they think they were accepted for finalist or merit? It would be appreciated!
@goingnutsmom sure! Although I will probably post tomorrow since im swamped with homework and have to go back to real life
@goingnutsmon Wait, you mean your daughter did get an email even she was not selected for finalist? Anybody else got such email?
Got in as a Goizueta Scholars Finalist! Does anyone know how many actually get the scholarship out of the selected finalists?
@theoneandonly1 hmmm good question! i think on some of the old threads there were potential answers to that. I’ll also check the website for that too because Im curious too!
@TigerD I think most of us got the email on this thread whether or not we got the scholars or merit notification. The email should have come to the email you have on your common ap. Only one other poster stated she didn’t get the email. Look on your OPUS acct for any new communication. If you were a scholar finalist you would see new communication on OPUS according to emory admissions blog about finalist notification. However not sure if OPUS would have that communication if you are not a finalist but merit award winner. Have you ever received emails from emory. about 1 wk ago you should have received an email from emory that talked about how scholars would be notified on feb. 4th. if you didn’t get that email either, I would call admissions and make sure you have an accurate email on common ap, although if you have OPUS acct set up you should.
