<p>I would imagine that academics are the most important to establish a certain threshold of students that would reflect well on the program, and within that threshold, they would use things like essays and EC’s to choose distinguish between the applicants</p>

<p>i went to an info session recently and apparently…10% of the freshman class got the Emory Scholars!
thats pretty high i think…</p>
