<p>Does the scholars committee for the Goizueta scholarship look at the actual application to Emory as it critique potential scholars? In other words, are the Why Emory essay and the Common App essay also looked at besides the Scholars essay and teacher/counselor rec. during the selection process for the scholarship?</p>

<p>I can’t remember for sure, but I think being a semi finalist for these scholarships gives you an admissions decision (accept or wait till Regular Decision), so I’m sure they look at them in some sense. If you mention business in your Why Emory and your common app essay, they’ll consider them in some sense yes, but they’ll pay more attention to your Scholars essay.</p>
