How do the teachers interact with the students at Emory? Do they offer them research opportunities? How available are they to the students? Do the students like and respect the teachers?
Also, what do the students do for fun? What is the social life like?

Yes.

Yes.

Very accessible. Well, most of them.

My son is a freshman at Emory, and he would tell you this is the greatest strength of Emory. He is premed chem/biomajor but hs found all of his classes enjoyable and the professors outstanding and extremely accessible. As an example, he actually loves his freshman expository writing class even though he is a “science person”. He did not enjoy calculus in high school and loves the professor and the way he teaches the subject. Chem class while challenging, is interesting and provides opportunities to interact with professors through organizations such as the chem club. Nerdy sounding, but they put on demonstration shows utilizing chemistry to make things such as flaming snowballs and other neat demos for the entire student body. You can view some of these demos on youtube. Research opportunities are plentiful, funded (including stipends) and encouraged. If you demonstrate any type of interest, the professors are more than willing to help and encourage any student.

I cannot answer the fun question, but I will tell you my son loves Emory and has plenty of fun!
