emory vs. usc (marshall) vs. wash u (olin)

Business major having trouble choosing the best school…any advice?

I would go with USC, because I think that the connections are better. Emory is an amazing school, but L.A.>Atlanta>St. Louis for business that is.

good point…as far as the undergraduate business school rankings-Emory/Wash. U./USC

needadvice,
Which program in the business school do you wish to pursue? For example, if you wish to pursue international busines in the Pacific Rim SC is by far the best choice. Marshall’s program in Entrepreneurship is 4th in the nation. Accounting is ranked by U.S.News at 5th, International Business at 5th and Real Estate at 7th. Try and determine which college has a stronger program in your particular interest area. Have you visited each university to determine your comfort level? SC is in an urban area. Emory is in a close in suburb. There are differences in climate and diversity of student body. These things may or may not influence your decision.
Where do you plan to work after graduation? Did you receive financial aid or a scholarship to any one of these choices?
If we knew these answers the advice would be more pertinent.

As you can see there is a bit of inconsistency in the ranking. I’m just saying that L.A. is the best city and has more connections. Regardless, they all have great business programs.

Need advice,
Since you are seeking advice concerning undergraduate business I searched U.S. News rankings. For undergraduate I looked at the rankings for the three choices. Marshall is ranked above Emory and Washington U. for business (undergraduate). I then checked each particular program offered. I could not find one program at Emory or Washington U. that was ranked above Marshall or even ranked in the top ten.

Washington Univ. and Emory are Tier I universities. However, in these rankings Marshall does rank higher. All rankings are subjective. Location, climate, fit, finances, peers, networking and diversity may be more important.

You have some great choices.
