Any references about accelerated EMT training with VAMedicalTraining? It is located on Richmond side of VA and they train in 3 weeks and quote it is 95% pass rate on certification. Please share if any reviews or experiences or suggestions. TIA
I’m unsure about this specific program, but speaking about EMT in general - a 3-week program to the point where you’re ready to take the NREMT is going to be pretty hard.
The EMT program I did took 6 months, and most community colleges spread it out. I spoke to an alum at my institution who did their EMT in 4 weeks - the program went from 8AM-8PM 6 days a week, and if you missed/failed a single test you were out.
Be wary of these speedrun EMT courses, often they’re cram courses. Not to say it isn’t possible, it certainly is, but it won’t be fun.
Please keep responses generic as CC is not a referral service. Thank you!
My son did one summer before senior year, 7 weeks, Monday through Saturday 8-5pm and 48 hours live clinicals in ambulance. He passed state and national exam at the end. Great experience, amazed they can condense it to 3 weeks, but the full-time focus was nice over summer.
My kid did a four week intensive EMT B course during a summer at a community college. She passed the tests the first time. They prepare you to pass.
